FOX CHAPEL AREA BRANCH OF AAUW PRESENTS:

Fox Chapel Area Branch of AAUW Presents:

Spring Brunch,

Installation of Officers and

Annual Presentation of Awards

Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 9:30 AM

Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church Chapel

Please plan to attend our last meeting and our annual brunch before summer break.  This festive tradition is a time to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones.  The potluck brunch is always delightful, as is the camaraderie.

We will install 2008-2010 incoming officers: Lois Folino, Membership Vice President and Alice Scott, Financial Officer.  We will be presenting two Friend of Equity Awards this year.  One goes to Mrs. Jennifer Klein, AP US Government teacher at Fox Chapel Area High School; with commendations to four students, Luke Secosky, Doug Weisband, Kevin Pflumm and Julia Hazlet; and State Representative Frank Dermondy, (D-Cheswick). The second Friend of Equity Award goes to Ms. Caitlin Lenahan, creator and Program Manager for the Carnegie Science Center’s Click! at Girls Math & Science Partnership. You can read more about these deserving Friend of Equity awardees in this newsletter.  We will also present the 2008 Woman of the Year Award, which goes to Joan Barnhart, and other certificates received at the PA-AAUW Convention in April.

The potluck brunch will follow the business meeting.  Please bring a casserole, main dish salad, juice, fruit or dessert.  We will not be able to heat or refrigerate casseroles.
